Damascena Rose (Red Rose from DAMAS) is cultivated in the Dadès Valley between Kelaa and Boulmane.

    Damascena rose, which resists to the cold and drought, would have been introduced by pilgrims back from Mecca, in the 10th century.

    Cultivated for local consumption , under rose water’s form, and also for exportation and perfume industry, the harvest represents between 3 and 4 thousand tons annually. This harvest takes a week, and ends with the
Moussem of Roses, an amazing harvest party.
